“ This place is now Jan's Soul Food and the food is spectacular! I had the ox tail over rice, green beans, and yams. The oxtail you could tell was very slowly cooked as it was tender, juicy, and oh so flavorful! The yams were quite literally the best yams I have ever had, and yams are one of my regular "go-to's!!" If you want really tasty food, made right, this is your place. ”
“ Came here from the Florida keys heading north and it was so very good. My dish was from the buffet, meatloaf, collards, cabbage and a corn muffin Husband had the catfish filet. Recommended stop. ”
“ We stopped in here for lunch on our way to take the Sugar Express train ride in Clewiston. The new name is Jans Soul Food but GPS still got us here. Wow, soul food that's delicious and made with love. Small place with a couple of tables. Twyla the owners daughter is the sweet hostess. You can view the options behind the glass but Jan cooked up fresh okra for my wife. I really enjoyed the meat loaf, cabbage and collard greens with iced tea. The cabbage was so good I asked for seconds. My wife got the southern fried chicken with 1 dark and 1 white piece. You can choose. She also had fried okra, collard greens and corn bread with her meal. So much that she even had enough leftover for dinner. We really enjoyed talking to Jan and the food was so delicious. And... I asked Jan what did she do with any food leftover from the day. She donates to any one in need. That’s true kindness! Will definitely be back when we visit again. ”
“ We found this place randomly with a Google search. Went for the chicken and waffles, which we awesome. Food is prepared to order as it should be. Joani rocks the kitchen and delivers tasty bites with soul and love. Highly recommend you drop in and check it out. Ask for whatever you want, they’ll do what they can to deliver. ”
“ Great husband and wife cafe. The service was great, the food was amazing. Eggs on biscuits and gravy? IT WORKS! I sampled the ox tail and I almost cried it was so good. I may have to visit the area again just to have dinner here. Keep up the great work you two, you guys are killing. Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had ”
“ Don’t judge a book by it’s cover people. This small place may look like a whatever place but let me tell you the food is amazing!! It was so good that I didn’t even have a chance to take a picture of my meal. I’m a picky eater and am not the chicken and gravy type of girl. But something told me to give it a try and let me tell you I wish I had more of that gravy. It was delicious left me scraping my plate. We stopped by for lunch while setting up for Clewiston Sugar festival and decided to give it a try and I do not regret my decision best decision of the day. I will definitely be coming back. Saved this location under one of my favorite restaurants for Clewiston . Next visit, I will definitely be trying the oxtail. ”
“ Family stopped in to try a new spot while passing through. The couple work together well and have really great manners. The food is cooked fresh, just right and their lemonade was hitting. The entrees and sandwiches are a great size. Definitely worth the money. We will be back ”
“ Phenomenal Soul Food. Excellent variety, everything made fresh. We tried 4 different mains, the Ox Tail was hands down the best. Loved the sides especially the cabbage. Hush puppies fried to perfect like the pork chops. This is a don't miss stop if you are staying in or passing through. ”
